Notre Dame

Notre Dame was a theatrical interpretation of Victor Hugos “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame” by Joern Hinkel for the 2022 Bad Hersfeld Festspiele, set in a politically contemporary and aesthetically steampunk-esque inspired world. We were tasked with developing the stage design using projectors and animations.

My job was to create an accurate 3D model of the entire stage first, to then assess the technical possibilities and limitations for the production of the various animated sets and to plan the placement, orientation and specification of the projectors. Later we worked closely with the director, technical director and creative directors to bring our creative vision from our computers onto the stage walls.
